Where are our roots?

Begun as CTS Management Company, Inc., in 1982, our company managed various transportation properties in the southeastern United States. Eventually, CTS leadership recognized that the real deficit was a strong software set to manage an ever-growing profession, and began producing transportation management software in 1986. A few years later, CTS Software incorporated solely to provide dynamic, user-friendly software created in the real transit world. We are headquartered in Wilmington, NC, and have customers all over North America.

Meet the team

As a staff, we strive to build long-term relationships with our customers, and are committed to going above and beyond to learn and grow. Through our history, we have built a close-knit team of professionals who live all across the country, and who work tirelessly to support our customers 24/7. Adam Fox

Chief Executive Officer

Account Executive

Adam Fox has been with CTS Software since 2002, where he has focused on developing strong customer relations, training, and technical support. In 2016, Adam became the Chief Executive Officer of Foxster, Inc., and in that role manages growth planning and business strategy for CTS Software. Because of his daily personalized contact with customers, Adam quickly moved to overseeing the development of TripMaster. Since the inception of this project, he has focused on combining the simplicity that users love while adding cutting-edge features that today’s paratransit operators require. Adam serves on the board of the NC Public Transportation Association, and is a certified trainer for all of CTS’s products. Adam holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from The University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where he focused on management and marketing. Adam lives in North Carolina with his family and enjoys watching the Carolina Panthers win games.

Lib Magra

Chief Operating Officer

Lib joined CTS in 2019 as part of a healthcare focused career in operations and technology.  She attributes the successful results achieved in standing up and growing companies to having excellent team members.  She focuses on the importance of the human aspect of business as the keystone to success.  Having spent numerous years in consulting, she also understands the importance of listening to and acting on the needs of the client.  Lib has a BS  in Marketing with a minor in Communications from Grove City College.  When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.   

Derek Platow

Director of Business Development

Derek has been with CTS Software since 2010, and is a key player in sales, marketing, support, and on-site training. His dedication to developing customer relationships, along with his positive attitude, reflects not only the CTS Software brand but also the customers using the software in their daily operations. Derek holds an associate’s degree in Business with a primary focus in communication. After graduating, he developed a background in all areas of the transportation industry and a keen understanding of dispatching, management, marketing and sales in the paratransit industry. Derek is also a certified trainer for all of CTS’s products. He lives in Maine with his family and enjoys sports, gardening, and hiking.

Jeff Neese

Account Executive

Jeff joined CTS in 2017 as a technical trainer, and transitioned to the sales team as an account executive in 2018. With an extensive background in sales and training in various industries, Jeff is invaluable in helping customers learn from the ground up. Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Business from Appalachian State University, an engineering certificate from Georgia Tech, and a Master of Theology from Vision International University. Jeff’s big heart and love for helping others make him an ideal trainer and communicator. Jeff loves App State sports, and has been a full-time pastor of his church for the past 15 years. He is also District Governor of the Ruritans for the state of North Carolina. He also loves being a dad to his 3 boys and being married to his lovely wife Rhonda. The family has grown to include his daughter-in-law Julia and one grand-dog, Brewer. Rhonda and Jeff also have 2 dogs of their own and have a great time singing together in a southern gospel music group.

Willow Beaudet

Account Executive

Willow joined the CTS team in 2019 as a technical trainer and moved over to the Accounts team in 2020. She now works to make connections and maintain relationships with customers, executives, and the whole CTS family.

Willow holds a BS in Climatology from the University of North Carolina, Asheville, and performed research into neural network classifiers, climate change, and numerical weather prediction. Her experience in statistics and computer modeling translate to a rich understanding of how to help software and humans understand each other.

Before joining CTS, Willow worked in wilderness leadership, sales, and as a writing tutor. Willow lives in Asheville, NC. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, travelling, and engaging in all kinds of nerdy activities, from Dungeons and Dragons to card games and board games.

Heather Jones

Account Executive

Heather joined the CTS team in 2021 as an Account Executive. Before joining CTS, she worked in sales and customer support in a variety of industries including technology (hardware), IT Services and transportation. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Transportation and Logistics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. In her spare time, Heather enjoys cheering on her favorite team – the Tennessee Volunteers, traveling, participating in her church and United Methodist Women activities. Heather lives in East Tennessee with her husband and their dog, Summitt.

Eric Erdman

Senior Account Executive

After a 5 year span as an Elementary School Educator Eric decided to make a career path and has spent the last 13 years in software sales. The planning, teaching, and execution learned in teaching have carried over to sales in numerous ways. Eric especially enjoys the relationship-building aspect of sales and takes great pride in seeing his clients succeed in using TripMaster to help streamline their organizational operations and in some cases change their lives!
Eric holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Masters degree in Education Leadership. Though Eric grew up in Michigan, he now lives in Maine with his family and enjoys college football, and the outdoors especially fishing.

Amie Green

Client Success Specialist

Amie joined CTS in 2013 as the company’s finance director, and now serves as the Client Support Specialist where she has the opportunity to focus on client relationships and make sure we’re exceeding expectations. She brings a 25-year history of accounting, business administration, and sales in an array of industries, and is expertly knowledgeable about the administrative intricacies of small- to medium-sized businesses. Amie lives in North Carolina with her family and enjoys camping and fishing.

Jon Cooper

Director of Software Development

Jon Cooper joined CTS in 2009 as a developer and software architect, bringing more than a decade of experience as a software developer. Before joining CTS, he owned and managed a consulting company for 10 years, placing and managing over 40 developers in software projects throughout Indianapolis, IN, and surrounding communities. He holds a bachelor of science degree in Computer Science from Ball State University. Prior to starting his consulting company, Jon worked for an array of software consultancies in Indianapolis. Jon currently lives in Seymour, TN, and enjoys trail running, cooking, and hanging out with his wife and their exotic cats.

Brian Beaudet

Software Developer

Brian joined CTS in 2018 as a Software Developer/DevOps Engineer and agile development practitioner with over 20 years of experience in various industries including nuclear safety, academic publishing, non-profit organizations, public safety, insurance, and manufacturing. He has practical experience developing best practices and processes, agile development techniques ,and developing, using various programming languages and technologies to design and build sustainable custom business applications. Brian, a Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer, graduated from the University of Florida and lives in Asheville, NC. When he’s not working or reading documentation, he spends his time with his wife and three children, hiking long distances, running, working out, or studying the Civil War.

Ramon Marzolo

Senior Software Developer

Ramon has been a Software Developer of web and mobile applications for over 20 years. He is a technologist and software engineer with experience in a range of industries including mortgage banking services, equity management services, hospitality procurement, ecommerce, as well as experience running a software development consulting company. He received his Master of Science Degree in Software Engineering from California State University Fullerton and received his undergraduate degree from Chapman University. He taught part time as a College Instructor at Saddleback Community College teaching classes in Advanced Programming Concepts and has developed mobile apps currently available in the App stores. When not developing software, he enjoys fishing for big game fish on the Pacific Ocean on his boat, or camping and fishing in the local San Bernardino or Sierra Nevada Mountains with his family and friends. 

James Young

Product Owner

James joined the CTS team in 2017 as a technical trainer.  His expertise with the system and knowledge of our customers makes him a perfect fit for his current role of product owner.  He excels at working with customers to understand their needs and translate those into product updates.  With a background in legal studies and social services, he was driven to join the CTS team to integrate software training into his background. James holds a degree in legal studies, and before joining the CTS team, he worked closely with Knoxville organizations and the Knox County Public Defender’s Community Law Office. James lives in Knoxville, TN with his two cats and in his spare time, enjoys hiking, playing guitar, going for mountain drives and spending time with family.

Kendall Keller

Senior Project Manager and QA Lead

Kendall joined the CTS Development Team in 2019 as a Senior Project Manager and QA Lead. She has over twenty years’ experience in project management and analytics in industries including retail, healthcare, and non-emergency medical transportation. Her attention to detail and collaborative style allow her to understand stakeholders’ needs and objectives then effectively interpret them to the team. Living in Knoxville, Kendall enjoys tailgating at her alma mater, the University of Tennessee on any given Saturday in the fall.

Shane Wiens

Integration Specialist

Shane is natural problem solver who excels at finding solutions, which makes him a perfect fit for our support team. He enjoys collaborating across teams within the organization to find the solutions for you and your business. When not supporting transportation providers in their day-to-day functions, you can find him spending time with his daughter and/or enjoying all kinds of nerdy things. He is lives in Seattle, WA and is a huge hockey fan. Go Kraken!

Jon Hooks

Lead Technical Support Specialist

Jon Hooks joined CTS in 2011 as a technical support specialist, and has an encyclopedic knowledge of TripMaster and ParaScope. His is likely the first voice customers hear when calling in with questions and feedback. Before coming on board with CTS, he worked with SellEthics Marketing Group, Inc. as a route management account representative, and with FedEx’s Ground Delivery division. Jon holds a BBA in Management Information Systems from The University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and lives with his family in Raleigh, NC, where he enjoys playing guitar and watching sports.

Grier Neese

Technical Support Specialist

Grier joined CTS as a remote technical trainer in 2017 and now is a vital member of the technical support team. Grier holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology from Appalachian State University. Before joining CTS, he worked in both customer service and sales. Grier enjoys interacting with customers and building new relationships. Grier lives in North Carolina with his wife and their two kids. They enjoy hiking, traveling, and watching sports. Grier has a life goal of visiting every Major League Baseball stadium.

Addison Neese

Technical Support Specialist

Addison joined CTS in June 2021 and serves as a support and training specialist.  Before joining CTS, Addison worked in retail management, customer service, and sales. Addison enjoys establishing relationships with customers to better support them and their individual needs. Addison lives in Raleigh, NC with his girlfriend and their three cats. They enjoy traveling, watching sports, and tinkering with cars. Addison has a life goal to one day build a car to join an amateur racing league. 

Jesse Ellis

Technical Trainer

Jesse joined CTS as a technical trainer in 2016, and his role includes TripMaster onsite training, online training, and software testing. Jesse’s positive attitude, product knowledge, and excellent customer service skills translate into effective, enjoyable experiences for clients as they learn CTS’s software in his training sessions. Jesse attended North Carolina State University, after which he worked in customer service environments ranging from multi-million dollar corporations to small businesses. In 2015, Jesse also finished a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail, where he had a wonderful experience meeting new people and going new places. He is excited to be traveling through the air instead of on foot these days, though he still enjoys hiking near his home in North Carolina.

Tim Fogerty

Technical Trainer

Tim joined CTS in 2016 as an online technical trainer, and works remotely to train customers and build training materials. His experience with teaching people who are new to technology translates into a user-friendly experience for CTS customers. Tim was born and raised in Virginia Beach, VA., and holds a bachelor of science degree in Business Management from UNC-Wilmington and Barton College. Before joining CTS, he worked as a community resource coordinator for a center for independent living, working with and for individuals with disabilities on social skills and how to use augmented and assistive technology to the best of their abilities. Tim lives in Wilson, NC with his fiancé, Jennifer, and their dog, Scarlet, and enjoys fishing, boating, gardening, and watching the Redskins.

Vernon ‘Wes’ Westmoreland

Technical Trainer

Wes joined the CTS team in late 2019 as a technical trainer and assist with the onboarding and implementation of new customers both online and on-site.  He brings a passion from years of both flight training and coaching.

Wes holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management Administration from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington and is a graduate of the CAPT (Commercial Airline Pilot Training) program from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. 

Before Joining CTS, he worked as an Airline Captain for ExpressJet Airlines. In that role he was responsible for the safety of the aircraft, its passengers, crew and cargo. He is type rated in and flew Bombardier CRJ-200s, 700s, 900s. 

Wes lives in Nashville, TN with his wife Logan and pups Pumpkin and Piccolo.  When he is not working you most likely find him playing lacrosse, watching sports, and hanging out with his wife and dogs.

Lorri Foster

Technical Trainer

Lorri joined CTS in 2021 as a Technical Trainer and trains customers both remotely and on site.  She strives to adapt her teaching style to each customer.  Her patience and positive attitude make her approachable and encouraging to customers who may feel they are not tech savvy.  She breaks down the information and stresses the user-friendly features of the software so her customers can have a smooth onboarding experience.

With a background in computer tech support, sales, and customer service as well as being a small business owner, she has experience with many different types of technology as well as insight into the challenges of owning and operating a customer service driven business.  

Lorri attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and graduated from High Point University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.  She lives in NC and enjoys cooking, reading, going on dates with her husband of over 20 years, shopping with her teenage daughter, and watching her son practice Taekwondo.  Her favorite place is the beach, but she also loves spending time with her family at their little mountain getaway.  

Clay Hughett

Technical Trainer

Grier joined CTS as a remote technical trainer in 2017 and now is a vital member of the technical support team.  Grier holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology from Appalachian State University. Before joining CTS, he worked in both customer service and sales. Grier enjoys interacting with customers and building new relationships. Grier lives in North Carolina with his wife and their two kids. They enjoy hiking, traveling, and watching sports. Grier has a life goal of visiting every Major League Baseball stadium.

Patricia Irby

Accounts Receivable Specialist

Patricia joined CTS in 2018 as an Account Specialist in accounts receivables. She brings a 25 year history in accounts receivables and accounts payables, office administration and other accounting processes from multiple service industries. Patricia takes pride in keeping a positive flow in accounts receivables, maintaining great relations with customers, while assuring customers, “We at CTS care about our customers.”

Patricia lives in Winston-Salem, NC with her husband of over thirty years and her family. She enjoys reading, time with family and outside activities.

Tom Hall

Accounting Manager

Tom is the Accounting Manager based in Knoxville, TN, the home of his alma mater, University of Tennessee. Tom graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration, majoring in accounting. Prior to joining CTS Software, Tom had primarily worked for manufacturing companies as either a cost accountant, or plant controller. Being a plant controller requires that someone be a jack of all trades and know cost accounting, being able to manage an audit, forecasting/budgeting, and satisfy the requirements of the parent company. In his free time, Tom plays a lot of tennis and likes to spend time with his 2 grandkids.
